A Bird Ca,e Down

This wallpaper, called A Bird Came Down, was inspired by a  recent trip to the Miami Metro Zoo and is based on a photograph I took of this beautiful bird. I don’t recall what kind of bird it is exactly but I was entranced by the subtle shade of blue and stoic elegance.

For further inspiration I found a poem by one of my all time favorite poets, Emily DIckinson, which I named the wallpaper after.

Bird Came Down

A bird came down the walk:
He did not know I saw;
He bit an angle-worm in halves
And ate the fellow, raw.

And then he drank a dew
From a convenient grass,
And then hopped sidewise to the wall
To let a beetle pass.

He glanced with rapid eyes
That hurried all abroad,–
They looked like frightened beads, I thought;
He stirred his velvet head

Like one in danger; cautious,
I offered him a crumb,
And he unrolled his feathers
And rowed him softer home

Than oars divide the ocean,
Too silver for a seam,
Or butterflies, off banks of noon,
Leap, splashless, as they swim.

- Emily Dickinson

Pardon our dust. AgencyNet New York is in full swing - swinging hammers that is! Yes, we have a sweet new office on Broadway in Soho - just a few blocks away from the KidRobot store. YIPEE! The team has been working diligently to get the new offices up and running and here is a sneak peek of the new space. You can check out more on my flickr stream.

AgencyNet NY Office

I spent some time in New York last week and stopped in at the new office. I have to admit that I’m a little jealous of the slick interior design which will include a swanky chandelier hanging above the red couch and airy white curtains.

In AgencyNet tradition we strive to foster a culture of creativity and forward-thinkers and we are doing just that. I’m excited to work with the New York team very much, which includes some new faces and transplants from our very own Fort Lauderdale office. Go team!

By the way, we are hiring for the new offices in New York. :)

Check out all the AgencyNet jobs here.

We have a ton of exciting things going on at AgencyNet, including a new office in New York and doing work for one of the best brands on TV.

I look back at the past 2 years of growth and change and am so proud to be a part of it. I can’t wait to see what else is on the horizon, especially in my new role as Associate Creative Director. I have to say that every day, when I walk through the doors… I look up with awe.

I look up with admiration to everyone I work with and say a huge thank you - because I get to do what I love every day.

I get to collaborate with people whom make me smile and have a CEO who inspires us like no one else. These are the best people you could ever want to work with. We do digital and we love what we do.

Today we had AgencyNet spirit day and everyone was sporting their favorite anet “swag” and we happened to get a photo outside our office.

We sure are a fun bunch of geeks and artists and I love being inspired every day.
